I have 25 years experience in game fishing for Salmon, Trout, Sea Trout and Grayling.

I regularly fish, guide and instruct on my home rivers and stillwaters including the productive River Tyne system.

I regularly fish for Salmon abroad and in Scotland.

I am knowledgeable about the latest advances and trends in tackle and casting styles.

I am AAPGAI qualified to Advanced level in both Salmon/Doubled Handed and Trout/Single Handed casting.

A qualified game angling coach - Level2 UKCC.

The Chairman and instructor of the North East Fly Casting Club based on the river Tyne.

A Coach Educator for the Angling Trust, delivering training and CPD to coaches accross the North.

I have over 20 years successful experience teaching in a wide range of practical and classroom based activities.

I have a wide experience of delivering to a range of learners from junior school age to adults in both public and private sector settings.

I have the knowledge, expertise and ability to design learning experiences to match the ability of any client.

Experience of teaching in a range of methods including Flyfishing, Spinning and Bait fishing.

I regularly fish and work on a wide variety of rivers, streams and lakes in a variety of countries and conditions – with some success!
